ZEE has an eclectic history. Originally from Wisconsin, ZEE was musically inclined from a very young age. After living in Beijing for nine years, ZEE studied guitar at Berkley to continue pursuing his passion of making music and connecting with audiences.
ZEE aims to create a sound outside one specific genres or label. Inspired by 70’s rock and roll, he uses multiple techniques to create a unique and fresh sound. ZEE has incredible energy, and a very deep care and love for his craft. After gaining the attention of Mark Ronson, ZEE collaborated with Grammy winning producers, as well as performing to thousands of people at Pride Festivals across the US.
ZEE released his debut EP, “Brain Chemistry” in 2018, which The Advocate named in their top 7 list of queer artists changing the game. ZEE has released numerous catchy singles, most recently The Radio. ZEE’s new song “Good Boy” is a super fun, upbeat track that deals with something we’re all likely familiar with- being extremely into someone and just wanting to spend close time with them. Coming out of a space of heartbreak, ZEE writes about finding someone that feels like a breath of fresh air. No strings attached, no pressure, just fun.
